This is our haven of peace, right in the heart of Val di Fassa (Fassa Valley). Since 1977 the house that was of the bishop is inhabited by our Crepaz Pellegrin family and by anyone looking for a place without frills where tranquility is at home and welcome is never facade.
We are in San Giovanni di Fassa, above the hamlet of Somvig, an ancient name that means “lonely” – and we assure you that there is no more accurate description. Here, you can breathe peace, the noise of the small town of Vigo is far away, even if it takes only two minutes to reach the centre of the village and everything you might need.
Experience the mountain, in season and out of season, also means to appreciate a slow pace, where every moment can be an opportunity to relax in the nature, to get off work and rediscover the beauty in a world that has no hurry. And if you need a little bit of convenience, as you may have guessed, here everything is easily accessible.

Casa Daniel Zen is the starting point for any type of excursion, whether it be adrenalitic, adventurous, or slow and relaxing.
We are just a stone’s throw from the ski lifts: 100 metres from the Vigo Ski School and less than 100 metres from the Catinaccio-Rosengarten cable car, your ticket to the “balcony of the Dolomites”. In winter, the “Thoeni” return track practically takes you to your doorstep, while in summer, the paths and forests that surround us become your natural playground. From here, every active or sporting experience is at hand: hiking, skiing, walking or just a break in the meadows in front of Santa Giuliana to appreciate the sunny days.
You do not want to work too hard and to travel the height difference to reach the Ciampedie from the beautiful no. 544 path (1.30 hours of walking – difficulty E)?
No problem at all. Nearby there is the forest road Sora I Prè, which connects Vigo di Fassa with the village of Pera, it is an easy and flat hike, perfect in every season to enjoy the sun, the clean mountain air and our Dolomites views: even with winter snow! It starts just a few meters from our house. No elevation change, no cars, only nature and the landscape of Val di Fassa (Fassa Valley Dolomites) in front of you.
